Borobudur, the largest temple in the world to become one of the seven wonders of the world attracts many local tourists and foreign tourists during the holidays. For example in yesterday’s Lebaran holiday, school holidays and holidays of other religious holidays. Borobudur Temple is located in the Borobudur district, Magelang regency, Central Java Province. Exactly 15 KM from Magelang municipality south. Area Kedu hilly Borobudur Temple surrounded by causing small hills, including Tidar hill located north of Temple.

Mountains surrounding Borobudur Temple including Mount Merbabu and Mount Merapi in the east, and Mount Sumbing Sindoro in the Northwest. Of the four mountains that are still showing activity is the mountain of Merapi, with Mbah Marijan as “kuncen” a very famous not only in Indonesia, even at the World level for his courage friends with Mount Merapi. To the north is Mount Tidar the famous “Pakuning Tanah Jowo” while to the south there are mountains Menoreh, which when viewed from Borobudur Temple looks like a man who slept on her back ran from east to west. Curve formed by the mountains Menoreh looks like a complete head and nose, lips, chin and the abdomen and legs.

As in other tourist attractions in Indonesia, there are around Borobudur Indonesia merchants typical souvenirs such as batik clothing, a miniature temple of Borobudur, Magelang foods (such as getuk trio), handicraft cottage industries such as sandals, shoes, belts and so on. Something that attracted me during a visit to Borobudur Lebaran holidays this 2009 is home industry, namely the red shoes that are great for women because my wife really like all that red. Complete reports are the results of the visit to Borobudur will I report to the post the next article. Welcome to visit Borobudur temple, and remember that Borobudur Temple in Magelang cool city, not in Jogjakarta!
